Daily Laminate Care & Maintenance
Follow our Specialty Flooring laminate care & maintenance guide today to guarantee that your floors age well as the years pass.
Broom sweeping is the easiest way to maintain your laminate floors on a regular basis. By sweeping, you are helping to remove dirt and other debris that can accumulate on your laminate floors and lead to premature aging. How often you sweep will depend on the traffic that your laminate receives, but plan on doing so every couple of days at least. Laminate is fairly durable, so not much more should be required on a daily basis to keep your floors looking their best.
You can also damp-mop your laminate floors for a more intense and satisfying clean. When you do so, be wary of using too much water as it could harm the floors.
Dealing With Laminate Spills & Stains
Laminate floors are tough on spills and messes, both of the liquid and solid variety. When a mess occurs on your laminate, the key is to act fast to avoid lingering damage.
For solid messes, sweep the substance up immediately with your broom. For liquid messes, use a cloth to absorb the substance. In both cases, you should clean up your mess right away.
