Vacuum your rug regularly for optimal beauty. Vacuuming will help to remove dirt, dust, and other debris from the fibers of your rug. Doing this will prolong the lifespan of the rug. How often you vacuum will depend on the traffic the area rug receives, but you should plan on vacuuming once a week at a minimum.
You should also encourage guests to remove their shoes before walking across your area rug.
Dealing With Area Rug Spills & Stains
When a solid or liquid mess takes place on your area rug, address the accident immediately to avoid lingering damage. For solid messes, vacuum up the substance. For liquid messes, obtain a cloth and absorb as much of the mess as you can. From there, you should consult your manufacturer on how to proceed.
